Huan Ngo
Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering
Huan is a doctoral student in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Memphis. He completed his bachelor degree at the University of Memphis where he earned the third place in the 2019 Seismic Competition and the Dr. Tzu Senior Design award. His involvement in scientific research began in his junior year and a year after, he published a paper in a prestigious journal. His research interest includes Data-driven Application for Smart Cities and Estimation and Prediction techniques for spatio-temporal data.

Diwas Thapa
Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering
Diwas is a graduate student currently pursuing his Ph.D. in transportation. Diwas completed his bachelor degree in civil engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (2015) under Nepal Aid Fund Scholarship Scheme (2011-12). Prior to joining UoM, he worked as a civil engineer for Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Improvement Project (Melamchi Sub-project 2) in Kathmandu, Nepal. His research interests include sustainable urban transportation, Connected Autonomous Vehicle technologies and choice modeling.

Ali Riahi
Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering
Ali is Doctoral Student in Transportation Engineering and Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Memphis. He has received his M.Sc. in Transportation Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT). In addition, he collaborated as a Research Assistant with the Institute of Transportation at IUT in Municipality of Isfahan projects. His research interests are transportation networks reliability, transportation and land use planning, and automounts vehicles.

Avani Aravind
Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering
Avani is a doctoral student in the Department of Civil engineering at the University of Memphis. She completed her master's in Transportation Systems Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay (2020). Before joining the University of Memphis she worked as a Project Engineer at the National Transportation Planning and Research Centre, India. Her research interest includes Public Transit Connectivity, Transportation equity and Accessibility, and Sustainable Urban transportation.
