Fry Fund Update

Dr. Thomas S. Fry Memorial Fund
Campaign Up-Date

Over the past 10 months, alumni and friends have committed almost $205,000 in memory of Dr. Tom Fry! These funds will be used to renovate the soil mechanics laboratory in civil engineering, purchase state-of-the-art geotechnical engineering equipment and establish an endowment to provide for the laboratory’s on-going maintenance.

The civil engineering department will begin spending funds raised this spring as we start the brick and mortar renovation. We estimate the laboratory renovation will cost $100,000. Once the renovation is complete, we will use the remaining funds to purchase equipment. To completely refurbish the laboratory with top-notch geotechnical engineering equipment, we need an additional $120,000. Please consider making a gift to the Fry Fund today to help us purchase equipment for the new lab! Your gift is a wonderful way to pay tribute to a very special professor while making an investment in the civil engineering department and our current and future civil engineering students.
