Course Content

Students will be required to enroll in the PPI FE Prep University online FE review course. The course includes an online review book, a quiz generator with thousands of practice problems, diagnostic exams for identifying strengths and weaknesses, a study plan, and two 6-hour practice exams that simulate the NCEES FE exam. Do not take Practice Exam 1. That exam will be given as a proctored final exam on Friday, August 7 starting at 10 am. If you access Practice Exam 1 before the end of the semester, you will automatically fail the course and have to retake it next semester.

This course is broken into 9 one-week segments. During each segment, you will study one or two topics from the FE exam, then create and take a 10-question quiz for each topic using the PPI Standard Mode Quiz Generator. You need a score of 7/10 or better to pass each quiz. If you do not pass a quiz, you should continue studying the topic until you can pass a 10-question quiz. Once you have passed a 10-question quiz for one topic, you can move on to the next topic.

This is important: Your goal is to not just pass each 10-question quiz, but to pass the mock FE Practice Exam at the end of the semester. Taking each 10-question quiz 20 times in a row in the hope that lightning will strike and you get 7 questions you can answer will not help you pass the mock FE at the end of the semester. You need to use the quizzes to guide your studying.

Grading

This is a pass/fail course. In order to pass this course, you must: (a) pass 12 of the 14 quizzes by the due date specified in the Schedule AND score 70% or better on the final exam; OR (b) pass the real FE Examination before the end of the semester. Incomplete grades will not be given.
